Officer Reports- Seneschal's Report: Marie couldn't be here so Sara led the meeting.
- Herald's Report: Kingdom heraldry will be this Sunday. Canton's badge didn't pass. The commentary on it is in the December '98 LOAR. Muirghein will check with Guislane about changes we can make and get back to us.
- Marshall's Report: Karl has worked out that he's got room to shoot archery on his property. So he will be starting Archery Practices. Finnr will be starting Fighter Practices at his place when he gets it organized.
- A&S Report
- Christine passed around handouts about Tatting Classes at Black Sheep Spindles and Shuttles in Corona [phone number suppressed]. She also reported that Bead World in Tustin is going out of business and prices are great.
- After some discussion, Karl and Christine agreed to hold a A&S Day along with Marshall's Day on the 4th Sunday of each month starting at 9AM. Christine will have various different projects to learn. First project for the first A&S Day in February will be banner making. Karl will hold both Archery and Fighter Practices on the same day.
- Chatelaine's Report: Ulrike has some Ansteorran Hospitilar's hand outs that she will scan in and give to Christine for changing for Caid's use.
- Exchequer's Report: No report.
- Anniversary: Finnr Submitted his event announcement for our changes. It was decided that there will be no feast this year. We will put in the announcement that all attendees are invited to bring their dinner and eat together. After dinner, there will be a Bardic circle.
- Van Avery Demo: Suggestions were discussed as to what we might provide for this demo. At the March A&S bring fabric pieces to make tabards to cover the children's clothing for fabric painting activities (potato stamping). We will have copies of various Medieval coloring books for the kids to color. An A&S display was suggested, possibly some with hands on type of thing. Boffer/Fight the Knight was suggested. War style arrow shooting was also suggested. Banners made at the banner making workshop will make great color.
Old Business: None really. It was all discussed in the reports.
New Business- New Members introduced.
- Attention was drawn to the Canton supporting the Lick n Stick at Marie's on October 18.
- Estrella Pity Party to be held Saturday, Feb. 13 at Muirghein's starting at 1PM.
- Valynde talked about a possible Demo at the Jurupa YMCA.
We were chatting so much that we forgot the time and the meeting closed at 9PM. Note: Everyone really liked the new meeting site. They have two areas besides the regular eating space. One is bigger and louder, the other is smaller, not quite as easy set up for a meeting, but it worked out and is much much quieter. We can control the TV in there AND there is no loudspeaker problem. They had a note on the entry way reserving the space for us. It was really nice to be treated as well as we were.
