Show and Tell
- Baroness Ulrike told about adventurer with a bear at the Barbarian Freehold
event at the beginning of July
- Arts Receptions for Their Excellencies will be on August 8 at St. Michaels
in Riverside.

Officer Reports
- Herald
- Canton badge has gone from Kingdom to Laurel.
- A question of the Order of the Drown Rat was presented to the Baronial
Herald (Miguel of the too numerous of names for this scribe to write down).
He will consult further about getting the award passed.
- Arts & Science - Hammer-In featuring all sorts of
metal working will be held in Yucaipa on October 17-18.
- Chatelaine
- Christina offered a possibility for gaining some funds by selling coupon
books. She will ask about the SCA position on such things. The populace
attending did not seem to be interested.
- Some people were interested in making wreaths for head and hanging on
walls and such.
- Treasurer - No activity this month. Ending Balance was
$2397.24
- Scribe
- Minutes are available via email

- Baronial Library book list will be available via email and on the Canton
web page.
- Marshal - No report
- Constable - >No report
Old Business
- Bumper Stickers: Companies need to have an idea of what we want before they
commit to a price or any more detail.
- Window Stickers: We can get 100 for $400.
Baronial Anniversary in October
- It has been suggested that the Canton sponsor games of some sort.
- And we got some suggestions: Celtic Jacks: nseed a fencing mask, fencing
targe, and golf tube arrows. Draw a circle on the ground from which the target
person can not move. People toss arrows at the victim. The victim who evades
the most arrows wins. First 1 person throws the arrow. Then 2 people throw
arrows. Then 3 people throw arrows and so on. When the victim is finally hit,
they are out.
Baronial Presentations
- There will be a change of Baron and Baroness sometime in the upcoming year.
We need to start thinking of what to present.
- One good suggestion: Instead of a physical gift, have a bard explain a
Celtic ceremony where everyone from the Canton will bring their mugs and toast
to new Baron and Baroness.
Dreiburgen News - Six copies of this July 1998 issue were
available to the Canton. Baroness Ulrike might help produce it in the
future.

1) A request for "Known World Armorial" was made by Baroness Ulrike
and passed by those present. The cost for this is approximately $95.
2) Miguel Esteban Franco de Los Rios announced he is the Autocrat for
Dreiburgen Yule. There will be further announcements in upcoming CP's. (aside)
It sound's very interesting with several different ideas being implemented.
3) The Baron & Baroness of Starkhafn (sp?) will be stepping down at
Starkwars.
