The meeting began at 7:35 and ended at 8:55. Nine people were in attendance. We were honored to welcome an esteemed visitor from East Kingdom, Lord Omar Mohammed Mirzazadch and three individuals interested in joining the SCA.
Many warm thanks were given to Juliana Romfare for her work in the GWW War Mart and subsequent monies her efforts added to our coffers.
Our Anniversary tournament (May 4th) plans are progressing beautifully. The site is secured, invitations sent, officials contacted, and prizes have been purchased. Fighting, Boffers, Maypole, Tug-a War, Arts, and other activities, etc, etc, are in the works.
Mini Collegium was a huge success with 35 student in attendance. Classes included crossbow making, arrow making, lucet, intro to period music, how to write a period poem, bobbin lace, war survival and appreciation, mah jong, and many more classes were available throughout the weekend. Saturday night included a potluck and bardic circle. Just wait til next year!
Spring Crown Tournament will be held on April 20th in Victorville. Announcement of the event missed deadline in Crown Prints. See website for more information.
Thanks to Seosaidh's research, we were able to further our discussion on the Canton Arch. To lessen the bulk of the Arch, a design with pieces that are collapsible and/ or nestible are preferred.
Many of the people attending the meeting expressed their plans to attend the Lyondemere Archery and Arts event on February 23rd. Lady Christina and Lord Carolus have offered the hospitality of their gray and blue pavilion. Hope to see you there.
